Muar Visit part 2

This is part 1.

When I reached Melaka bus station, it was only minutes before I got a bus to Muar. It was a SKA bus btw. The journey was a comfortable one as the bus had AC and the seats were cushioned.

I did 2 things that pissed the bus driver (I think...)

1. When I wanted to pay the fare for the bus, I didn't know how much was it and paid the driver RM4. The driver was on the phone at that time. He gave me a receipt saying RM3. I had to tell him to give me the change :-(
2. When we reached Muar, the bus stopped a while near the old bus station. Thinking that the bus would stop nearer to the bus station, I didn't get down. Till I realize it wasn't going to stop anywhere near to the bus station anymore! Good thing the next traffic light turned red. I had to menebalkan muka to request the bus driver to let me down.

But I think the bus driver was a nice guy, as he didn't complain in front of me... he actually had the customer first policy! Way to go man!

After that Hui Ming's dad sent me and Hui Ming to the *only* shopping complex in Muar:
Veetex... we hit the arcade there and went for our first karaoke session! Which was in a RM1 karaoke booth *blush*

Btw, I didn't laugh at Hui Ming's new hairstyle... for you guys who are curious how she looks, this is it:

Taken in the karaoke booth. We sang a Fish Leong and Guang Liang duet.

We were dumb enough to lose 1 token to the karaoke machine. Kanasai...
Then we went to the food court to eat some spaghetti that Hui Ming liked. Too bad I only remembered that I wanted to take a photo of it only after we finished it :-(

Nothing much in Veetex, so we continued to our next locale! The cinema!

It only takes a few walks to the cinema... and this is the road we walk through:

The good thing about this bookstore is it sells pirated versions of books at cheap prices... the only downside of pirated version books are the covers aren't that colourful. That's all! Its the same inside! Occasionally if you're unlucky, you get a blank page or so, but this rarely happens...

Later on, we went and get movie tickets for the Pacifier. As the movie was at 3pm, we still had time to jalan-jalan. Hui Ming brought me to her bubble tea haunt.

This was quite a special place as it had a special setting:


They have chairs for people to sit, and even have japanese styled places.. where customers can sit on the floor with cushions and a reduced-height table. Notice that there are yellow shades everywhere... perfect haunt for couples... heh heh...



Our orders, Champagne green tea(???) with bubble balls(black guli-shaped stuff), chicken fillet with french fries, and Jade bubble tea(???), which is lime taste actually... the champagne green tea taste like milk though...

The whole meal cost RM12. Expensive or cheap? Btw, there was a little boy who kept peeking at us while we were there... I wanted to snap a picture of him, but he hide when I try... So funny kid...

We went to catch the Pacifier, but to our dismay, nobody wanted to watch it! Apparently the cinema officials (which were 2 old geezers...) had a policy of not showing a movie with less than 5 customers... since there were only 2 of us, they asked us to change our tickets to watch The Eye 10. We changed the tickets and watch a hilarious movie. Yes guys, The Eye and The Eye 2 were both horror movies, but The Eye 10 changed into a horror/comedy movie. Wonder why the Pang brothers turned to comedy...

After we finished the movie, we went to eat a kind of Satay which I have never seen before...
